For those of you who saw and watched Macross Frontier...the ending was crap. Yes, we can go on and on about that one. But apparently, theres a movie coming, but no one knows if it'll be a sequel, prequel, re-telling, whatever.
Anyways, I DLed the movie Macross: Do you remember Love? I've always seen it and read about it but I've never actually WATCHED it. EXCELLENT movie. It's a alternate re-telling of the TV show, but if you know the basics of Robotech/Macross, then you'll be able to keep up with this movie.
Rick Hunter/Hikaru Ichijo is on sooo many levels of badassness compared to Alto. So its most definitely a worthy movie to watch if you love Macross like me.

That's another series I should get around to some day.
I haven't watched anime all my life like you guys. In fact, stuff like Toonami, as well as my brother, are what really got me into it, which is why Toonami going off the air last week was huge to me. One of the first series I ever watched was robotech. It was SO long ago though, and I don't recall ever sitting down and watching it all, only episodes here and there. I had a friend that was HUGE into it though, he was a robotech freak after watching it and when they started to do the late-night 2 in the morning re-runs he would stay up to watch 'em.
I should watch that series, It's good old-schoolness.

I'm so used to Rick Hunter, but his voice is WAY too deep. Like it doesn't fit his personality or how he looks. He reminds me of Seiya so I think Seiya's voice would have worked perfectly for him.
It's still fine but it's definitely too deep. I'm watching the movie now, at the part where he and Minmay are stuck in the shelter thing so it's like the very beginning.
Still you can see the excellent subtle quality in the HUD, the sound FX like Minmay's echo in the stadium, the movement when they fight.
New school anime has the color and picture quality but the artwork is definitely better in our older stuff.
They paid heavy attention to the smallest details in these old hand drawn stuff.

I'm really enjoying this movie. It does an excellent job with the music and the stuff he and Minmay are doing. Now I gotta find some Rick Hunter, Robotech Wallpapers Good job getting this one Gohan. I tip my hat off to you.
