MTV announced a deal with Snoop Dogg today that gives him a new show and a whole bunch of other shit. One of those blurbs of other shit involve Snoop Dogg tracks coming to RockBand. so what does this mean for us? Well, i REALLY hope Harmonix/MTV can pull this off. They took a small step into the Country music genre for that 5 song pack a couple weeks ago, but Country is easy to replicate on drums/bass/guitar. Hip-Hop, on the other hand, may be a little more difficult. If done right, though, this could really open things up for all kinds of music. there are pro's and con's to this, obviously. First off, the expansion outside the rock genre could be a move in the right direction for people like us who enjoy all sorts of music. A major con that I can see is that Harmonix is still slacking on releasing some of the more "obvious" bands and albums that would just be awesome for the game. By branching out to other genres and artists all together, the chances of seeing some Incubus or Keane (or one of those bands you always wonder why they arent in the game yet) seem less and less likely. Anyways...itll be interesting to see what happens. www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3172730
